I haven't seen this video, but the "age of reason" refers to the enlightenment doesn't it?
#1 Its either B or C. I would guess C because they allowed wide distribution of pamphlets (for "englightenment") and the sailing ship allowed faster sailing for trade and colonization
#2 A, the American Revolution was born out of the ideas of the enlightenment. (Ever heard of Thomas Paine's "Common Sense") Plus all of the others were way too long ago.
#3 I would guess D because everything else did happen for sure. Rejection of the catholic church-Protestant Reformation. European exploration took off at this time, and merchants got rich from increased trade
#4 B, our own, because the idea to create a democratic republic and break off from Great Britian came from the enlightenment.
